Minor Modifications
We can help you live your life better today.
At VIP Access, we are committed to improving your quality of life. Sometimes, it becomes essential to make modifications to your home to ensure safety and independence. These home modifications offer a valuable opportunity to gauge the impact of housing policies on health and care. Moreover, they are widely acknowledged as an effective way to help older individuals, disabled persons, and those who are frail continue living in their own homes.
We understand that each project is unique, tailored to our client’s specific needs. Working closely with Occupational Therapists, we install the appropriate mobility solutions to promote independence within your home. Our non-structural home modifications are often referred to as minor modifications.
At VIP Access, we possess the expertise to conduct preliminary assessments alongside your Occupational Therapists for these minor modifications. We can suggest simple and affordable home adaptations that enhance safety, security, and mobility.
Participants’ homes can in some cases be unsuitable for living with a lifelong disability, VIP Access’s Home Modification team can assist in identifying areas that are:
- Unsafe to traverse over the course of daily living.
- Unsuitable given the disability of the participant.
- Inaccessible given physical limitations.
- Impractical given the change in Participant’s well-being over their lifetime.
While planning modifications, working with an Occupational Therapist can be beneficial in identifying specific requirements. However, there are certain adjustments you can make on your own to support individuals living with disabilities or mobility challenges.
