Giger MD
This therapy is designed to reorganise the central nervous system.
Many doctors believe that the spinal cord is hard wired…once broken, it cannot be repaired and permanent paralysis results.
Well, scientists now know that is only partially true.
There is considerable medical evidence available to suggest that it is entirely possible I can retrain my central nervous system, create new nerve pathways, and regain control of my paralysed body.
Make no mistake; “rebooting” one’s central nervous system requires mental and physical commitment and the right medical device. That’s where the Giger MD comes in.
After considerable research in Australia, Europe and USA, I chose to purchase a Giger Medical Device from Switzerland to help me re-educate my central nervous system.
Designed by a Swiss Watchmaker, initially to help a family member with Multiple Sclerosis, the Giger MD can now be found in leading brain and spinal cord injury rehab centres in the United States and Europe.
The Giger MD allows me to exercise my entire body, in “zero gravity” and perfect equilibrium, free from stress or pain, without leaving home.
It is a BRILLIANT design that enables me to achieve an incredible 30,000 joint movements in as little as 20 minutes. Mind-boggling as that sounds, it’s true and yet the Giger MD is very easy to use.
A live, interactive biofeedback system is displayed on a video monitor, allowing me to self-correct (no therapist needed) as I “walk on my back,” and engage my brain, arms and legs, all at the same time.
The Giger MD is, in my view, is the ultimate use-at-home neuromuscular re-education machine.
How it works
Giger MD Therapy works rather like the dynamo I had on my bike as a kid. Whenever I move my body as if I was walking (what I call “walking on my back”), the “feelers” for my skin, joints and muscles generate a flow of electricity (information).
When this information reaches the point where I broke my back (T6), the nerve flow is diverted to the so called, “self-renewing multiple stem cells” in the spinal cavity. If they receive a continuous, regular flow, they become nerve cells, proliferate and connect with each other. That’s the plan.
The process requires commitment and I exercise an average of 90 minutes per day, five days per week. My legs are bulking up with all the exercise and all my joints are working really well – back, spine, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, etc.
I consider the Giger MD is a key part of my therapy. I am seeing improvements in my skin, muscle tone, bladder, bowels, and I’m even experiencing stinging in my legs…the first signs of improved sensation.
